Tournament Structure
- Standard Match
- Single Elimination
- 4 player VS. matches
- Elimination(s).
- 3-race cup @ 150cc.
- Stages selected at random from all available stages.
- No teams.
- All items will be used with normal frequency.
- All vehicles are permitted.
- All characters are permitted, except Miis.
- Computer racers will be set to HARD difficulty.
- 1st and 2nd place players will advance to the next round.
- Placement determined by highest total points per player at the end of the cup.
- Changes for Grand Finals
- 3-race cup @ 200cc on the following tracks:
- Donut Plains (Banana Cup)
- Bowser Castle (Special Cup)
- Big Blue (Bell Cup DLC)
- Final Placement determined by highest total points per player at the end of the cup.

Rules
- All DLC characters present on the machine are allowed during gameplay. They are expected to be present at the time of the tournament, but not guaranteed.
- In the event of an unexpected glitch or game freeze, the game in progress will be declared “no contest” and restarted.
- Players may use their personal controllers.
- The Wii U Gamepad will not be available for use.
- Any intentional execution of a game-breaking glitch will result in disqualification.
- Unsportsmanlike conduct or other forms of disorderly/inappropriate conduct will be dealt with at the discretion of the tournament staff.
Prizes
- 1st place: An Amiibo for a character of the player’s choice. Because of the nature of this prize, it will not be physically available during the convention. At the conclusion of the tournament, staff will collect contact information from the winning participant in order to ensure they receive their prize after the convention has passed.
- 2nd place: A trophy signifying the player’s achievement.
