Format
- The Ikasucon Pokémon Trial Challenge will consist of eight Trial Captains and four Kahunas that you must compete against in a limited amount of time.
- There will be a Meet and Greet event where the Captains and Kahunas will introduce themselves.
- Attendees will roam the convention in search of each Trial Captain for a battle (3v3 Single Battle). If they defeat the Trial Captain, they will be given a Z Stone sticker that can be placed on the back of their convention badge.
- When an attendee has collected the Captains’ eight Z Stones, they can challenge the Kahunas in 6v6 Single Battles.
- All attendees who defeat the Kahunas will be placed into a Pokémon Champion Player Tournament in which they will compete for a grand prize.
- The version of the game that the challenge will be played on is Pokémon Sun and Moon for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems
Rules
- No more than one Pokémon of the same kind. (i.e., you may not have two Pikachus on your team)
- You may not use any of the Pokémon listed below, or any of their forms unless otherwise stated.
- Evasion Clause – A Pokémon may not have the moves Double Team or Minimize in its moveset.
- One-Hit Knockout Clause – A Pokémon may not have the moves Fissure, Guillotine, Horn Drill, or Sheer Cold in its move set.
- Players may not have a Pokémon with the abilities Moody, Sand Veil or Snow Cloak.
- The items Bright Powder and Lax Incense may not be held by Pokémon.
- Players may not use a Pokémon with Drizzle and a Pokémon with Swift Swim on the same team
- The Mega Stones Gengarite, Kangaskhanite, Lucarinite, Mawilite, Sablenite, and Salamencite are banned and cannot be held by Pokemon.
- The Z Stones Aloraichium Z, Decidium Z, Eevium Z, Incinium Z, Marshadium Z, Mewnium Z, Pikanium Z, Pikashunium Z, Primarium Z, Snorlium Z, Tapunium Z are banned and cannot be held by Pokémon.
- Players may only use Z Stones of the corresponding types of the Captains they have beaten. Once all eight of the Captains’ Z Stones have been obtained, the player may then use all other Z stones not listed in item 9.
- Sleep Clause – You may not put 2 or more of your opponent’s Pokémon to sleep.
- Endless Battle Clause – Any move set on any Pokémon that is capable of intentionally causing an endless battle is banned from competitive play.
- A Pokémon may not carry Recycle and hold a Leppa Berry in conjunction with Heal Pulse and Milk Drink, Moonlight, Morning Sun, Recover, Roost, Slack Off, Soft-Boiled, or Wish.
- A Pokémon may not hold a Leppa Berry and carry Recycle and Pain Split on its move set.
- A Pokémon may not hold a Leppa Berry and carry Recycle and Fling on its move set.
